26th January is a special day in India known as ‘Republic Day’ which commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force and the country was declared completely independent. The team joined in the celebrations at the SMS stadium of Jaipur and watched numerous spectacular parades and performances, observing a plethora of brightly coloured uniforms and costumes. Many dignitaries attended including the Governor of Rajasthan state and the team were privileged to be seated in the VIP section with a fantastic view! People of all ages and backgrounds participated in the parades including Army personnel and musically talented prisoners on temporary release. This was yet another fantastic and culturally enriching experience.
