NAB-PNM Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind

Our final visit today was to a Rotary sponsored rehabilitation centre and school for the blind.  This facility provides training to enable bind people to live independently and earn their own living.  A truly inspirational project.
Volunteering Opportunities
During our visits to both the Rotary Integrated Secondary School and the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind the team put forward the suggestion of arranging volunteering opportunities in these institutions.  Our proposal was to encourage young enthusiastic people from Rotary District 1290 to volunteer and use their skills to assist in the teaching of the young people here in Mt. Abu.  These suggestions were welcomed by the local Rotarians and further discussions will take place regarding the feasibility and logistics of volunteering here.  We are looking forward to working on this new collaborative project.
